To join our squad, you must be at least 17 years of age and in good health. Once your application is accepted, you will be placed on probation in which time you will start learning what we do and how we do it.
As a new squad member, you will be expected to enroll in an Emergency Medical Technician class within 1 year, which will be free of charge as long as you are in good standing with the squad. You will also be required to obtain a valid CPR for Healthcare Providers certification, which is also free of charge.
As a squad member, you will be on call normally 1 night a week and 1 weekend a month. This basically means you will be issued all equipment necessary, and that you will be in town to answer calls. You won't have to stand-by at the building waiting for a call.
To keep up with current updates and maintain our equipment, we meet every tuesday to clean the rigs, take classes, or have our meetings. Of course, you attendance will be required.
While your with our squad, you may not answer any calls if you have been consuming alcohol or drugs. We maintain a zero tolerance for this and termination will become necessary.
